A few days ago. Popular twitch streamer Hasan Piker was asked when the USA really goes to shit (he predicts a total rise of Fascism/authoritarianism), what country would he prefer to live in. He unironically said Japan. I laughed out loud. He picks the least diverse country in the world because he likes anime and Japanese culture. Hasan and everyone like him would never pick a middle eastern country or a mostly brown/black country.

Another trash take, free speech is not building physical barriers and commandeering public spaces in violation of university rules, thereby preventing there use by the rest of the student body. Free speech is not breaking into Hamilton hall and seizing the property by force. Free speech is not physical altercations resulting in multiple injuries. All these things happened before police were involved to disband the criminals.

I showed a woman being assaulted at Yale. I showed Alex Stein being assaulted at UT Austin. I showed property destruction and forced property seizures at Columbia. And the response was a childish shrug. There are more examples of violence and threats of violence, but it's not my job or obligation to post here all day. Rules and laws apply to these people and making excuses for them will result in more violence.

Not true. 100% of democrats, 210 Dems voted yes, which means less than 7 republicans were needed to pass the bill. Ultimately 101 republicans voted yes, 112 voted no, so a majority voted no. I think Trumps influence clearly helped the republican majority to vote no and more voted no than we've seen previously.

A veto proof majority of Congress passed the bill. Show me a single representative that changed their vote from no to yes based on the alleged "support" from Trump. You can't, they all wanted it already. Trump has been consistent in calling for peace and the end of the war as soon as possible which would entail concessions with Russia. Any suggestions, like in the OP, that Trump could have stopped the bill if he had just come out harder against it, is just ridiculous fiction.
